All the wine selections have been handpicked by me from our regular suppliers with special rates just for you, giving you the opportunity to purchase and take home a collection of fantastic quality wines. The unique prices and selections are subject to availability.

Champagne Frerejean Frères 1er Cru, Brut, Grauves NV

Our House Champagne is the creation of a family of renowned vintners of Champagne, whose expertise is recognized worldwide for several generations, the Frerejean Taittinger brothers grew up with love and respect for the Champagne tradition. Guillaume, Richard and Rodolphe decided to launch their own brand of champagne in the image of their complementary natures.
The vineyards, from which the Frerejean Frères Champagne originates, straddles the Côte des Blancs and the Premier Cru village of Grauves, located 10km South of Epernay. The wines are made from a delicate blend of 50% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir and 20% Pinot Meunier.
Fermentation and maturation takes place in their cellars in the village of Grauves. The wines are aged for a minimum of five years in the cellar at a constant temperature of 10 degrees Celsius.

Nino Pieropan and his wife Teresita have a commitment to tradition and they are among the best and most recognised wine producers from the Italian region of Veneto. This selection is the freshest, youngest wine in the Pieropan family range. A delicate blend of Garganega (90%) and Trebbiano di Soave (10%) creates quite a taut, dense herby nose with a refreshing grassy edge.

Close to Saint-Emilion and the Dordogne, Château Moya has a stunning 360 panorama view on the valley and its organic vines. David Curl, the owner of Château du Gaby in Canon-Fronsac, bought the 8 hectares of vines on clay and chalky soils in 2008 and 2009 is their very first vintage.
Elegant blend of 93% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Sauvignon, it is very juicy and inviting, with deliciously ripe notes of linzer torte, blackberry and crushed plum, laced with anise and toasted spice. The lively finish stretches out nicely.

Domaine Chataignier Durand, owned by Jean Marc Monnet is a 10 hectare estate practicing sustainable farming methods spanning the two appellations of Julienas & Chiroubles in the higher hills of Beaujolais.
The estate has been kitted out with ultra-modern winemaking facilities ensuring wines of great purity. Julienas Tradition is a superb example of how enjoyable well-made Gamay can be.

Maranges 1er Cru La Fussière, Domaine Bachelet-Monnot 2010

The lesser-known appellations of the Côte d'Or, like Maranges, are now providing some outstanding value wines, at least from the most talented Domaines. This estate was created in 2005 by two young brothers, Alex and Marc, following a re-organisation of the Bachelet family holdings in Maranges, Santenay, Chassagne and Puligny. The Bachelet brothers adopt an unforced, labour-intensive approach with all the grapes hand harvested into small cases to achieve their goals of naturally balanced and precise wines. Their aim is freshness, purity and elegance. This domaine is quickly establishing itself as one of the best estates in the Côte de Beaune. The wine presents irresistible combination of fully ripe fruit, assertive but balanced tannins, exceptional freshness, and remarkable versatility for early enjoyment or long ageing.

Côtes du Rhône Les Bateliers, Domaine Le Clos de Caveau 2011

Located in Vacqueyras, Domaine Le Clos de Caveau has been producing organic wine since the late 1980s. This wine is warm and inviting, but balances delicacy with richness of fruit.
Silky and seductive with finely woven tannins, this is a fabulous Côtes du Rhône.

Bourgueil Racines, Frédéric Mabileau 2006

Frédéric Mabileau operates a 27 hectare Domaine, with the majority of the vines concentrated in St Nicolas de Bourgueil, Loire Valley. ‘Racines’ is a single vineyard site made up of clay and limestone within the Bourgueil appellation. This wine is 100% organically cultivated Cabernet Franc that was harvested from vines that were planted by his grandfather with an average age of 60 years. His perfectly-ripe grapes produce soft, fleshy wines like this, full of juicy red berry flavours. Delicious with poultry or delicatessen meats.

Cigliuti in Italy is one of the many small, family-run estates that embody the finest of the artisan traditions of Piedmont wine making. The 2011 Dolcetto d'Alba Vigna Serraboella is fresh, vibrant with plenty of varietal character. The 2011 is a floral, perfumed, medium-bodied Dolcetto to be enjoyed over the next few years.

Firesteed aims to produce wines that are true to type with a forward and accessible character, offering great value for money.
